• Usage and Ride Data: Details of rides or deliveries (pickup/drop-off locations, times, fare, shared ride preferences, package information).

• Device and Technical Information: Device type, operating system, IP address, app version, device ID, and usage statistics.

• Communications and Support Data: In-app chats, SOS alerts, feedback, customer support interactions, and emergency contact information.

• Identity Verification Data: Facial recognition data (for driver and rider verification) and any other documents or biometrics processed through secure partners.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account, verify your identity, and provide the Services (ride matching, package delivery, safety features).

• To facilitate payments and payouts (including linking to your bank account via verified BVN/NIN).

• To ensure platform safety and security (OTP, facial identification, SOS functionality, fraud detection).

• To improve our services, personalize your experience, and conduct analytics.

• To communicate with you about your rides, updates, promotions, and support issues.

• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations (KYC/AML, NDPA, CBN requirements, tax reporting, etc.).

3. Legal Basis for Processing (under NDPA)

We rely on the following lawful bases:

• Performance of contract (to provide the Services you request)

• Legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, service improvement)

• Legal obligation (compliance with Nigerian laws and regulators)

• Consent (where required, e.g., for certain marketing communications or biometric data)

• Third-party service providers: Payment processors (e.g., Paystack), identity verification partners (for BVN/NIN checks), cloud hosting providers, and mapping services - all under strict data processing agreements.

• Drivers/Riders: Limited information necessary for the ride or delivery (name, photo, rating, contact details, pickup/drop-off location).

• Regulators and Authorities: When required by law, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), or law enforcement.

• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Important Note on BVN and NIN: These identifiers are processed through secure, encrypted third-party partners and are not stored on our servers in raw form beyond what is strictly necessary for verification and compliance. We do not use them to access your bank accounts.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, secure storage, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
